Resident Magazine was a three-edition publication
created for an editorial class at Parsons.
Each edition should be conceptually developed around an initial inspiration, starting with an object for the first issue, an image for the second one and ending up with a word-inspired issue. The object chosen was a pair of glasses and they were the starting point for the prososal of the magazine. Each edition would be based on a different country and show that place from an inside point of view, giving a fresh and exciting cultural scene to the readers.
Different context, different references, new perspectives, another point of view. My main goal when I started creating it was letting the content dictate the visuals in each article.
